- The reason you won't see a speed increase is that, although the 68010
- is compatible with the 68000, the system clock speed is still the same.
- In order to experience speed increases with a higher speed CPU, the
- system clock (there are some other considerations as well) must be
- increased also. For example: you can place a 68000-16Mhz in a 500 and
- it will basically run at the old 8Mhz rate. Using a higher speed CPU
- replacement might have the advantage of staying cooler, but without
- further modification, no speed increase should be seen.
